The discussion scenario style interview couldn't have gone any better. Everyone was on time, the food was great and we had a really fascinating discussion with our guests.
As a crew we decided to take a step back to allow the discussion to naturally flow, we decided before hand that we would only interfere if they went too far off topic. However this was not the case as all participants had points of view that kept linking it back to social media. The only time I had to interrupt was to draw the interview to a close and give out the pizza.
After we had a break for pizza we interviewed the remaining participants individually on the stairs. It was interesting to see how much the interview situation can impact the response from the interviewee. Generally Interviewees were more uncomfortable when being interviewed individually however as their interview progressed you could see them becoming more comfortable which was really rewarding as filmmakers to see.
